I enjoy a churro at the fair but don’t make them at home because of the messy oil. That is why I decided to try the air fryer. It worked, except I do miss some oil (the sugar doesn’t stick). I did give it a good spray of cooking spray. Now, the dough is very much like eclair dough. The recipe does make a crunchy passable churro. I hope you like it.
8 tablespoons butter
1 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1cup flour
4 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Heat milk and butter in a sauce pan; bring to a boil.
Add flour and salt quickly and whisk until a dough forms.
Remove from heat.
Let cool for 5-7 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time and whisk.
Spray air fryer. Pipe dough into air fryer. Only six will fit.
Spray with cooking spray.
Air fry for 10 minutes at 340.
Mix sugar and cinnamon.
Roll churro in sugar and cinnamon.
Serve.
