Fall makes me think of apples and cinnamon. Here is a fall dish that highlights both. I’ve done cinnamon apples traditionally this has a crunchy fried exterior with a crisp apple inside. I put cinnamon in every layer so a hot snack but crispy too. I hope you like it.
2 Granny Smith apples cored cut in 6 equal pieces.
1/2 cup rice flour
1 cup pancake batter use whatever mix you want
1 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
3 teaspoons cinnamon divided
1/2 cup sugar
Set up 3 pie pans dip apple parts in as follows.
Pie pan 1 rice flour and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Pie pan 2 pancake batter 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Pan 3 panko breadcrumbs 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Preheat air fryer at 370 for 4 minutes.
Dredge apples in rice flour right hand, then pancake batter left hand, then panko mix right hand.
Add to air fryer and cook for 9 minutes at 370.
Mix remaining cinnamon and sugar while the cook.
Add apples to cinnamon sugar and toss.
Serve.
