I was at A to Z Butcher shop and they had beef bacon in the meat case so I had to use it. I thought about updating the French dip. So beef bacon, provolone cheese and caramelized onion on a mini baguette. Simple but satisfying. I hope you like it.
1 mini baguette
4 slices beef bacon
1 sweet onion noon sliced thin
2 slices provolone cheese
1/2 cup au jus
oil for cooking
Cook bacon to crispy. Set a side.
Heat oil in skillet and add onions. Cook until caramelized.
Add provolone cheese to onions and cook until just melted.
Heat bread. Cut in half.
Heat au jus and place in a ramekin.
Add bacon to bottom half of bread and add onions with provolone.
Serve.
