I have done versions of the cake mix cookies a couple of weeks ago. This one has the classic cherry and chocolate combo but with a lot more chocolate. Only 6 ingredients, little measuring and great results. The sour cherry breaks up all the chocolate the almond flavor makes it just different enough to sell it as home made. I hope you like it.

1 box devils food cake mix
1/3 cup cooking oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup dry cherries

Heat oven to 350.

In a bowl add cake mix, eggs, almond extract and oil and mix.

Fold chocolate chips and cherries.

Spoon on to a parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake for 9-11 minutes.

Let cool
