Tater Tot Poutine

I did this for a pot luck and went in a unique direction. I switched out the French fries with tater crowns then replaced the beef with slab bacon. I stayed traditional with a brown gravy with the cheddar cheese curds. The last big change was I added some potato sticks with paprika and cayenne pepper. I hope you like it.

1 32 ounce bag tater tots
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pound double smoked slab bacon cubed small
16 ounces cheddar cheese curds
20 ounces brown gravy
8 ounce can match stick potatoes
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

In a large skillet add slab bacon and cook to brown and crispy. This is should take about 15-20 minutes on medium heat.

Cook tater tots for 12 minutes at 400 in the air fryer. Depending on size of air fryer you may have to do two batches.

Heat oven to 200.

Add cooked tots to a sheet pan with cheese curds while second batch of tots is cooking.

Toss match stick with cayenne and paprika.

Heat gravy in a sauce pan.

In a large baking dish add cooked tots, slab bacon, cheese curds, top with gravy and toss.

Serve.
