Aunt Carol’s banana bread

This is another of my Aunt Carol’s recipes (Thank you again Becky)  She was such a great cook.  This one I did make a couple of changes and updated the recipe. This is a very dense bread so you might need to add more liquid.   I don’t have margarine which was the oil of choice back in the day.  I also added a little cinnamon, because I like it.  Hope you like it too.

Dry ingredients
4 cups of flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Wet ingredients
4 eggs
2 sticks of butter
3 cups of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup milk

Add ons
2 cups ripe bananas
1 cup chopped walnuts

In a large bowl mix all dry ingredients

In second large bowl mix butter with sugar add vanilla and milk mix add eggs one at a time

Mix in flour mixture in thirds

Add bananas

Add walnuts

Preheat oven to 350

Add mixture to a greased loaf pan

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean
