Sometimes during the holidays you need to have a quick snack, or your bowl is now empty on the table, and dinner is still two hours away. Worse yet, someone says, “Nice call. What else you got?” This is a quick and tasty recipe that is good for a party or just for watching your favorite team play, a movie night, or a snack for the car ride to grandma’s house.
1 bag microwave popcorn or 1/4 cup in air popper
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (more if you want more kick)
1 teaspoon of salt
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated (If you use the stuff in the green can, you should just be ashamed. Are you still a freshman in college?)
Mix Parmesan, garlic powder, chili powder, and black pepper; set aside
Melt butter in the microwave
Pop popcorn
In large bowl mix popcorn and melted butter
Add cheese mixture and toss
Serve
