Fireballs

I am a contrarian. I like some traditions but with food, not so much. Snowballs are a classic Christmas cookie and called by a few names, but for our purposes we will go by snowballs. I’m known to like things a little hotter, so why not the fireball? Cinnamon in the cookie and cinnamon in the coating. Spice-in-spice goodness! I hope you like it.

12 ounces butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, divided
2 teaspoons fireball whiskey.
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
Coating:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cream powdered sugar and butter on slow.
Add fireball and cinnamon.
Mix in flour in three portions.
Add nuts and mix.

Heat oven to 350.

Roll cookie dough into 1 1/2 inch balls.

Bake for 12-16 minutes.

Let cool for 30 minutes.

Mix powdered sugar and cinnamon.

Roll cookies powdered sugar and cinnamon.
