This is a city ham dish. This is the ham steak you get in your local mega mart and has that salty Easter ham taste . The peppers and pineapple give some crunch, and the pineapple adds sweetness to the salty ham. I hope you like it.
1 16-ounce ham steak cut in cubes
1 green bell pepper sliced in strips
1 red bell pepper sliced in strips
1 can pineapple chunks with juice
2 tablespoons corn starch
2 tablespoons water
Oil for cooking
Heat a skillet to medium and add oil.
Add pepper strips.
Add ham pieces and brown.
Add pineapple chucks including juice.
Mix cornstarch and water together.
Add to pan; when the juice thickens, serve.
