I made this at the Warrenton farmers market. I was doing a tasting (Thanks Natalie), and as I was doing my shopping, I walked by the Mad Magic Kombucha booth and asked what kombucha would go best with cranberries? Rudy recommended the Elderberry from Erin’s Elderberries. Good choice, Rudy. The fermented taste works with the cranberries; the sugar and cinnamon meld everything together. I hope you like it.
1 12-ounce bag fresh cranberries
6 ounces Mad Magic Elderberry kombucha
3 ounces water
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
In a saucepan, mix water, sugar, and kombucha and bring to a boil.
Add cranberries and cinnamon; cook for 20 minutes or until berries pop.
Stir and reduce heat to low; cook for10 minutes.
Serve warm or refrigerate and serve cold.
