Maple Bourbon Bars

This is a winter dessert for those with hearty manly tastes. This makes the house smell like a winter day. I went to my local distillery, KO Distillery; they have the smoothest bourbon I have tried. So this one is for you, Dad, but I used better bourbon than was in the house. I hope you like it.

Preheat oven to 350.

In bowl 1 mix almond flour, flour, baking powder, and salt.

In bowl 2 cream butter and brown sugar.

Add eggs and beat for 2 minutes.

Add maple syrup, vanilla, and bourbon and mix for 2 minutes.

Mix wet ingredients into wet.

Add chopped walnuts and mix.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool for 40 minutes.

Mix powdered sugar, milk, and maple syrup.

Drizzle glaze over bars.

Serve.
