Guacamole

I got a request from someone for a guacamole recipe, so here is a simple one. Not many items and not alot of prep. Sometimes simple works.

2 avocados
1 shallot, diced
1/2 jalapeño pepper, finely diced
2 teaspoons lime juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 plum tomato, seeded and diced
1 clove garlic, minced

Remove seed and skin from avocado.

Mash flesh from avocado.

Add lime juice and salt and mix.

Add shallot and jalapeño and mix.

Add tomato and mix.

Serve with tortilla chips.

  4. That looks and sounds delicious, Dan. For years, I thought guacamole was not something I would enjoy – until I tasted it at a beach party one day. I think I ate half of it myself. I really need to try making it one day. Thank you for posting your recipe!
