Banana Split Cookies

This one was for the person who works at my local pharmacy. She expects me to make something for her birthday. So I did these Banana Split cookies; they have everything but the whipped cream. Chocolate, butterscotch, banana, and strawberry are all at the party and even the cherry showed up. The cookie is soft and chewy and just plain tasty. I hope you like it.

2 cups AP flour
1 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 box 3.4 ounces banana pudding
10 ounces butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
24 strawberry slices
1/2 cup nuts (optional)
12 Maraschino cherries, halved

Preheat oven to 350.

In bowl one cream butter, pudding mix, and sugar until smooth.

Add eggs and mix until eggs are incorporated.

Add vanilla and mix.

In bowl 2 add flour, baking powder, and salt and mix with a whisk.

Add bowl 2 into bowl 1 in 3 parts and mix until no flour is visible.

Fold in chocolate and butterscotch chips evenly through the dough.

Slice strawberries into pieces.

Make a two-inch dough balls and press a dent in the center; add a strawberry piece, close hole and flatten into a cookie shape about 1/2 inch thick.

Add cookie to a parchment-lined baking sheet, 9 per sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes; remove and add cherry to top. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.

Let cool and serve.
