Most of us need to eat healthier; that is why I made this cookie. Cherries have antioxidants as does dark chocolate; this contains both. Almonds and eggs are full of protein. Now, how bad can some butter, sugar, and flour be? I also added some chocolate vodka with the vanilla for some extra flavor. I can talk myself into anything. I hope you like it.
1 stick butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon chocolate vodka
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped in chunks
1/2 cup fresh cherries, chopped and pitted
1/2 cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350.
In bowl 1 mix flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
In bowl 2 cream brown sugar, butter, and white sugar until smooth.
Add egg, vodka, and vanilla and mix until smooth.
Mix bowl 1 into bowl 2 in three parts and mix until completely combined.
Add cherries and chocolate and mix until combined.
Add almonds and mix.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Place 1 1/2 inch balls of dough on a parchment- lined baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
