This was new for me; I usually use cast iron skillet seer and finish my steaks in the oven. I used this air fryer method for the first time and was very happy with the results. I also used an under used cut, the chuck eye. The chuck eye is the next muscle over from the ribeye; it doesn’t work very much and is sometimes called a mock tender. This is as simple of a recipe as I will ever do. I hope you like it. Now, my steaks were 1 1/2 inch thick, so if yours are thinner, cook for less time. If thicker, more time.
2 8-ounce Chuck Eye Steaks
2 teaspoons Montreal steak seasoning
4 tablespoons butter
Pam Cooking spray
Coat both sides of steaks with steak seasoning.
Spray both sides with Pam or other cooking spray.
Let steak rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Heat air fryer at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
Add steaks to fryer basket. Cook for 6 minutes at 400 degrees.
Turn steaks over and cook for additional 6 minutes or until internal temp is 120.
Let steaks rest for 5-8 minutes.
Top with butter.
Serve with favorite sides.
