Air Fried Duck Breast

I love duck breast as a protein. My normal way of cooking it is slowly on a cast iron skillet then finishing it in the oven. I had never tried the air fryer for this dish, but it worked great. I started by scoring the fat side with a very sharp knife. I followed by rubbing the skin with Chinese five spice. I coated the other side with seasoning salt, then let it come to room temperature. Make sure you preheat the air fryer for the best results. I hope you like it.

2 duck breasts
1 tablespoon Chinese five spice
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
4 tablespoons hoisin sauce

Score duck breasts with a sharp knife.

Rub skin side with Chinese 5 spice.

Sprinkle meat side with seasoning salt.

Heat air fryer to 350 for 5 minutes.

Add duck breasts and air fry for 7 minutes, skin side down.

Turn over; coat each beast with 1 tablespoon hoisin and air fry for 5 minutes at 350.

Add another tablespoon of hoisin to each breast.

Air fry at 350 for another 5 minutes.

Let rest for 10 minutes.

Slice and serve.
