Boudin is a popular pork and rice sausage in New Orleans. Now, we can avoid any jokes in poor taste to someone over 15. I paired this with some pepper Jack cheese and put it in a crispy coating. Salty, spicy, and crunchy flavor bomb. A to Z Butcher Shop provided the Boudin. I hope you like it.
1 pound Boudin sausage
8 ounces pepper Jack cheese
4 ounces rice flour
1 egg
8 ounces panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Cooking spray
In bowl 1 add rice flour.
In bowl 2 add egg and beat.
In bowl 3 add panko, Old Bay, and garlic powder and mix.
Make 4 patties with sausage; add 2 ounces of pepper Jack in the middle of each; close and form a ball.
Roll balls in rice flour to coat.
Add balls to beaten egg and coat.
Roll in panko and cover completely.
Spray bottom of air fryer pan with cooking spray and add Boudin balls.
Spray Boudin with cooking spray.
Air fry for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown.

We know Boudin Blanc as a sausage from France made with minced meat and milk. Adding rice is new to us, could imagine it gives the sausage a nice structure.

It made a great sausage ball. The rice is the only way I have had it.
