Kentucky Hot Brown Pizza

I did this in honor of the Kentucky Derby this year. I went to my first Derby in 1974 and had my first Kentucky Hot Brown sandwich that year. This is a homage to the sandwich. It has the major components turkey, smoky bacon, sliced tomatoes and cheese. The major changes are just three cheeses instead of the mornay sauce and a classic pizza crust no brioche. I hope you like it.

1 store bought pizza crust
1/2 pound thick cut turkey breast
9 strips crispy bacon
5 plum tomatoes
1/2 cup fontina cheese grated
1/2 cup Gruyère cheese grated
1/2 cup whit New York cheddar grated

Heat oven to 425.

Place pizza dough in 9 x 12 baking sheet.

Par bake crust for 10 minutes.

Place a layer of turkey on crust.

Add 9 strips of crispy bacon.

Add tomato slices.

Top with grated cheeses.

Bake for 18-22 minutes until crust is crispy and cheese is melty.

Serve.
