When we were nomadic a couple of years back, we traveled with an air fryer. Regular cookie mixes or refrigerated cookie dough would either be raw or burnt when we tried to make them. So when I tried this recipe, I was very excited. They are not a big glob of dough; they rise, have a crispy exterior and a soft center. The best part is they taste good. My mad scientist adds are bourbon and cardamom. I hope you like it.
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1 stick butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons table sugar
1 teaspoon bourbon
1/4 cup milk
1 cup dark chocolate chips
In bowl 1 mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cardamom.
In bowl 2 add butter, brown sugar, and sugar; cream with mixer until smooth.
Add milk and bourbon and mix.
Add bowl 1 into bowl 2 in three parts.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Heat air fryer to 330 for 3 minutes.
Line air fryer with air fryer parchment;add teaspoon size dough ball to basket.
Air fry for 7 minutes at 330.
Let cool for two minutes and remove from basket.
Let cool for 3 minutes or burn your mouth.
Serve.
