Baked Chicken an waffles with apple cranberry sauce

Pre-heat oven to 350

4 Chicken thighs
1 cup flour
2 teaspoon season salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon pepper

1 cup buttermilk

Soak chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes

Mix flour with seasoning

Dredge chicken until completely coated

Place on lined baking sheet

Spray with cooking spray this will brown the chicken
Bake for 40 or until internal temp is 170 degrees and chicken is brown

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon herbs of province
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt & 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 large egg
1 cup buttermilk
3 tablespoons melted butter

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, sugar, pepper in bowl
Add buttermilk and egg
Mix with whisk until combined add herbs

Let stand for 20 minute

Heat waffle iron to medium high (mine is either on or off)

Cook until golden brown

Cranberry apple compote
3 large cooking apples cut into 1/2 inch slices
6 oz 1/2 a bag fresh cranberries
1 cup Apple cider
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon water mixed with one tablespoon water

In a 10 inch skillet mix all ingredients except water and cornstarch
Cook on medium until all the cranberries pop stirring occasionally
Add cornstarch and water cook until thick
