I did this recipe for Gloria at the pharmacy.  She loves strawberries so I came up with these.  I did half normal and the other half I stuffed with a strawberry slice for more strawberry flavor.

2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Sift together all above ingredients

Wet ingredients
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup butter (softened)
4 tablespoon strawberry mash
(3 tablespoons strawberry purée mixed with 1 tablespoon strawberry vodka)
1 large egg

Cream together butter and sugar with mixer about 4 minutes
Add egg mix
Add strawberry purée mix
Add dry ingredients 1/3 at a time until mixed

Preheat oven to 350

Line cookie sheets with parchment

Mix red sugar with white sugar

Roll cookie dough in to 1 1/2 inch balls and roll in covered sugar

Place on cookie sheet

Bake for 11-13 minutes or until
Lightly browned on top.

Frosting

Mix 3 tablespoon puree strawberry, 1 lemon zest,  1 tea spoon lemon juice, 1/2 cup powdered sugar,  mix until creamy.
