I am a fan of different. These are not your Royal Oak Dondero cafeteria Tater Tots(My old High School). I have used bacon, honey, sweet potatoes and air fried them. They are crunchy outside, soft and moist outside and of course have the bacon saltiness. Hope you like them.
2 pounds of mashed sweet potatoes (about 6 medium potatoes) Just cook in the microwave until fork tender 4 potatoes will take about 15 minutes,
2 strips bacon cooked and crumbled I used Rainbow Acres Farms
1/4 cup clover honey
2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoon chives mix spices set a side. 1 egg
2 tablespoon ap flour
panko bread crumbs for coating(they will make a crunchy crust)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon cinnamon (you know that fresh ground is best)
oil for cooking or cooking spray for an air fryer I used the air fryer
mix potatoes, bacon, spices
add honey egg and flour,
heat oil to 350 degrees
roll in potato mixture into 1 inch tubes
dip tubes into panko
Using and Air Fryer bake at 350 for 8 minutes turn and cook for an additional 8 minutes
dip in Chili garlic sauce which is hot and sweet
