This is a classic in New York. This one will make the kitchen and house smell great. Garlic and bacon will either put a smile on your face or make you pull out the Glade. The clams add a salty touch. Since the stores are out of a lot of items, I cheated by using a store-bought crust. Hope you like it.
1 pizza crust (I had to use store bought because of the quarantine)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon Italian herbs
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
4 oz chopped clams or whole baby clams
4 oz hickory smoked bacon
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Cook bacon half way until slightly brown
In a sauce pan, melt butter
Add flour and combine
Stir for 3 minutes
Add garlic
Add milk
Cook until thickened
Top pie crust top with garlic sauce
Add bacon
Add clams
Sprinkle on Italian herbs
Add crushed red pepper
Add Parmesan cheese
Bake until slightly brown on top about 10-12 minutes
