Surf and Turf Burger

This is an upscale burger that is out of the box (unlike Micky D’s). Whoever heard of shrimp on a burger? It is also a flavor bomb with the arugula and onion rings. Top it all off with some zesty remoulade all on a fluffy kaiser roll. Use both hands on this one. I hope you like it.

1 pound ground beef, 80/20 lean to fat
4 10-15 peeled deveined shrimp, butterflied
4 onion rings
1/4 cup remoulade sauce
Salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 cup buttermilk
4 ounces arugula
4 Kaiser rolls

Small fry pan with 1/8 inch oil to fry shrimp

Soak shrimp in buttermilk for 10 minutes.

Dip shrimp on rice flour.

Cook onion rings per package directions

Make 4 1/4-pound burgers.

Using your choice of griddle or grill, cook burger to 165.

Cook shrimp in fry pan for 2 minutes per side on medium

Pull 1/4 of bread out of inside top of roll.
