Air Fried Hush Puppy Crusted Shrimp

Shrimp and hush puppies are a classic pairing. I decided to make them one delicious bite. I got some shrimp from Crosby’s Crabs and used some seasoning from the south like creole and Old Bay. I hope you like it.

16 16-20 shrimp, peeled, cleaned, deveined
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup hush puppy mix
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon Old Bay
1 teaspoon salt substitute
1 teaspoon creole seasoning
1 large egg
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice

In a bowl mix flour, corn meal, Old Bay, and creole seasoning.

In a second bowl mix egg, milk, and lemon juice.

Preheat air fryer to 370 for 5 minutes.

Dip shrimp in egg mixture, then coat in flour mixture.

Add shrimp to fryer basket – don’t overload!

Cook for 6 minutes at 370.

Repeat until all shrimp are cooked.

Serve with favorite sauce.
