Turtle Cookies

I love cookies, and turtles are always a great. So I combined them. Everything you love about each treat. I hope you like them.

Wet ingredients:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Dry ingredients:
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Flavors:
1 cup dark chocolate chunks
1/2 cup pecans pieces (Purposeful Pecans)
Topping:
1 cup dark chocolate chips
16 ounces of caramels (out of the wrappers)
1/4 cup pecan pieces
1/2 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350.

In bowl 1 mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

In bowl 2 cream butter and sugar, and beat for 3 minutes.

Add eggs one at a time and beat until combined.

Add vanilla and beat.

Add flour mixture in three parts.

Beat until combined.

Add chocolate chips and pecan pieces and beat until combined.

Place parchment on baking sheet.

Using a small ice cream scoop, place 9 cookies on each sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Let cool for 25 minutes.

Add caramels and 1/4 cup milk and microwave in 20 second bursts. Stir after each burst until smooth.

In microwave safe bowl, add chocolate and two tablespoons milk and melt in 20 second bursts until melted and smooth.

Drizzle caramel over cookie.

Drizzle chocolate over cookie.

Sprinkle with pecan pieces.

Let set for 30 minutes.
