Chocolate Date Energy Snacks

I don’t remember where I saw this, but I have a hiker daughter and a walker wife who both do long hikes and need energy. You have dates, walnuts, almond butter, and dark chocolate. A three bit energy bomb. I hope you like it.

10 pitted dates
10 walnuts
1/4 cup almond butter
8 ounces dark chocolate chips
1 tablespoon whole milk

Cut slit in date lengthwise. Make sure the pits are gone.

Add walnuts to middle.

Add teaspoon of almond butter.

In a microwave safe bowl add chocolate chips and milk. Microwave in 20 second bursts, stir, and repeat until chocolate is melted and smooth.

Dip dates in chocolate.

Place on parchment lined baking sheet. Place in freezer for 3 hours.
