English tea is a really a dressed-up tapas; it’s a lot of small bites, so let’s do a simple dish for a brunch. I originally saw this dish from Bobby Flay, but I didn’t think his flavors met my three parts of the sense-of-taste test (see below). Here is what we have: mascpone cheese, cream, honey, basil, and strawberries. This dish is simple to prepare and looks great on the table. I hope you like it.
10 strawberries, washed
6 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
2 tablespoons cream
1 tablespoon basil, chopped
1 tablespoon honey
Whip mascarpone cheese with cream and honey until smooth and fluffy.
Add basil and fold in evenly.
Place strawberry on stem and cut down on point to make four quarters.
Fill gap with cheese mixture.
Serve.

Sense-of-taste-test: there are six parts of your tongue that each taste something different whenever you eat. Every bite should use three of the six:
Salty, sweet, bitter, spicy, sour, and umami (savory).
