Faux Scotch Easter Egg

“Easter time is the time for eggs – the time for eggs is Easter time” was said by a great man. So let’s do an egg. Well, sort of. It’s shaped like an egg. It’s chocolate, plus chocolate, and some more chocolate with a creamy filling. Wrapped in crushed graham crackers. This will be a fun project to do with the kids. I hope you like it.

1 box double chocolate brownie mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1 can dark chocolate frosting
4 Cadbury cream eggs

Cooking spray.

Preheat oven to 325.

Crush graham crackers into small crumbs.

Mix brownie mix with eggs, water and oil until combined.

Spray 9 x 13 baking dish and add brownie batter.

Bake for 28-33 minutes.

Let cool.

Using a bowl and a fork, break up brownies into small pieces.

Add frosting to brownies and mix. It should be thick but pliable.

Form a cup of brownie mixture in you hand big enough to cover half of egg; place Cadbury egg in center and top with more brownie mix to form an egg shape.

Roll in graham crackers; place on a baking sheet and place in freezer.

Freeze overnight.

Cut in half with a serrated knife.

Serve.
