Here is an hors d’oeurve to wow at brunch. Simple quality ingredients can make all the difference – don’t go cheap! Spicy blackened tuna and avocado bring big flavor. Lime juice, tomatoes, and onion break up the richness topped with the sweet chili sauce. I hope you like it.
10 wonton wrappers
2 6-ounce tuna steaks
1 teaspoon blackening spice mix
1 avocado, diced
1 red onion, diced
1 Roma tomato, seeded and diced
1 tablespoon lime juice
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
2 ounces sweet chili sauce
Cooking spray
Preheat oven to 350.
Spray mini muffin pan with cooking oil.
Place wonton wrapper in mini muffin pans and bake for 7 minutes.
Coat both tuna steaks with blackening seasoning.
Heat skillet to medium high and coat with cooking spray.
Sear tuna for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Let rest for 4 minutes and chop in 1/2 inch pieces.
In bowl add tuna, avocado, onions, tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste.
Add lime juice and toss.
Add to wonton wrapper.
Top with chili sauce.
