6 large eggs
1 cup half and half
1 cup whole milk
1 loaf challah bread, cut in 1 inch slices 14 oz loaf
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
Heat oven to 275
Place bread on cookie sheets and bake for 20 minutes, let cool
In a 9 x 13 pan mix eggs, milk, half and half, cinnamon, vanilla, and sugar
Lay bread in batter for 20 minutes on each side. (you may have to add more half and half and another egg if the bread absorbs the batter)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Sprinkle table sugar on parchment
Lay the bread on parchment (do not crowd pan)
Sprinkle top of bread lightly with sugar
Bake at 375 for 20 minutes until bread puffs and becomes golden brown
Serve with maple syrup or fruit
