Cornbread

1 cup AP flour
1 cup cornmeal
3 tablespoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup whole milk
1/3 cup melted butter
1 egg
1/4 cup honey
1/2 jalapeño pepper finely diced
6 oz can creamed corn

In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients
Corn flour, AP flour, baking powder, Salt, pepper, sugar and mix

in separate bowl mix the wet ingredients
Milk, butter, honey, egg, jalapeno and creamed corn mix well

pre-heat oven to 375

mix wet into the dry ingredients until just incorporated (do not over mix)

place mixture into a 13 x 9 greased pan

Bake for 20 – 25 minutes until top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean
