Simple Won Ton Soup

This is simple, but it looks like you spent a lot of time on it. It’s amazing that you can have this dish without it coming in a plastic container. It’s traditional (not really), but it tastes good. I hope you like it.

1/2 pound sage sausage
10 wonton wrappers
1 teaspoon teriyaki sauce
1 teaspoon chives, divided
2 quarts chicken stock (I used low sodium)
1/2 carrot, diced
1/2 small celery stick, diced
1/4 white onion, diced

1 tablespoon oil

A little bowl of water

Mix sausage, 1/2 chives, and teriyaki.

Put 1/2 teaspoon of sausage in wonton wrapper; wet outside of wrapper, fold over seal and pull bottom so that it looks like the picture below.

Heat large sauce pan to medium and add oil.

Add vegetables and cook for 4 minutes.

Add chicken broth.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Add won tons gently.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Assembly:
Soup with 3 wontons
Top with remaining chives
And if you want, cucumber match sticks.
