Simple Grilled Outer Banks Seafood

I have written that we have been staying at the Wild House Inn while our new home is being built. They have let me use the grill, and I made this the second day we were here. The seafood here is amazingly fresh – the Atlantic Ocean is a quarter mile away. So I used what we had in the fridge and made this. So grilling seafood is doable. I hope you like.

1 pound mahi mahi
1 pound sea scallops
4 ounces Italian salad dressing
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1 teaspoon black pepper, divided
1 bunch green onion
2 lemons
4 ounces white wine

1 foil bag

In foil bag add wine, Italian dressing, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and green onion. Add mahi and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

In plastic bag add scallops, juice of 1 lemon, and Old Bay seasoning let sit for 10 minutes.

Heat grill to 400.

Seal mahi bag and lay flat on grill. Cook for 8 minutes then turn.

On the grate add scallops; cook for 2 minutes on each side.

Serve.
